TAMMS, Ill. -- Ralph Eugene Phillips, 65, of Tamms, formerly of Thebes, Ill., passed away at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at his residence. Ralph was born June 27, 1945, at Thebes, son of the late Jesse Phillips and Anna (Wilson) Phillips. TAMMS, Ill. -- Ralph Eugene Phillips, 65, of Tamms, formerly of Thebes, Ill., passed away at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at his residence.

Ralph was born June 27, 1945, at Thebes, son of the late Jesse Phillips and Anna (Wilson) Phillips.

Ralph was a member of the Crusaders for Christ Church in Mounds, Ill., a member of the NAR and a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Carol (Wallace) Phillips of Tamms; four sons, Billy Rader, California, Mo. Jesse Rader, Ullin, Ill., Donald Alpers of Missouri; and Doug Phillips, Carbondale, Ill.; one daughter, Debra Dunning, Tamms; one sister, Bernice Range, Panama, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and three brothers.

Friends may call between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday at Crusaders for Christ Church.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church with Pastor Dennis Clark officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery in rural Thebes.

Jones Funeral Home in Tamms is in charge of arrangements.
