Ralph O. Ottinger, 93, of Cape Girardeau, formally of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He and Geneva had lived at Saxony Village for several years.
Ralph was born Oct. 5, 1927, in Hayti, Missouri, to the late Emerson and Lydia Baird Ottinger. He and Geneva Cunningham were married Feb. 3, 1951, in Piggott Arkansas.
Ralph served honorably in the U.S. Army. He was deployed to Japan and was discharged Jan. 26, 1948.
He worked 28 years for SEMO Electric Co-Op in Sikeston, retiring in 1989 as a line superintendent.
Loving survivors include his wife, Geneva Ottinger; son, Terry (Diane) Ottinger of Sikeston; and sisters-in-law, Kathleen Beck of Cape Girardeau, Naomi Long of Memphis, Tennessee, and Beatrice Cunningham of Indianapolis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Marion and Robert Ottinger, and a sister, Sue Ottinger Pate.
A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
Cremation services were supplied by McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
