Ralph Maupin, 93, of Grand Blanc, Mich., died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at his home.
He was born June 26, 1904, in Union City, Tenn., son of John and Bertha Presley Maupin. He and Irene Hager were married Oct. 22, 1945, in Hernando, Miss. She died Feb. 8, 1981.
Maupin grew up in Bloomfield and lived in Cape Girardeau most of his life. He had lived in Michigan the past 17 years. He was district manager with Borden Corp. 42 years.
Survivors include a son, Ralph Maupin Jr. of Highland, Mich.; a daughter, Marcia Kiewitt of Swartz Creek, Mich.; a brother, Howard Maupin of Fort Meyers, Fla.; a sister, Marcia Lake of St. Louis; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Friday.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Rich McClure officiating.
