JACKSON -- Funeral for Ralph Lee Litzelfelner of Bald Knob, Ark., was held Saturday at Central Baptist Church in Bald Knob. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Litzelfelner, 78, died Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at his home.
He was born Sept. 21, 1920, in Jackson, son of Odus and Ethel Masterson Litzelfelner. He married the former Juanita Leggett.
Litzelfelner was a graduate of Jackson High School, received a bachelor of arts degree from Arkansas State University, and a master's degree in mathematics from the University of Arkansas.
He was a high school teacher and football coach at Malden, high school teacher at Poplar Bluff, and taught for Arkansas State University at the Jacksonville Air Force Base. He had also been a partner in the Litz Brothers Poultry business.
Litzelfelner was a member of Central Baptist Church and Bald Knob Rotary Club, and was named a Paul Harris Fellow.
Survivors include his wife; a stepdaughter, Molly Kircher of Bald Knob; three brothers, Jack and Jim Litzelfelner of Jackson, Joe Litzelfelner of Granbury, Texas; four sisters, LaDonne Wilson of Santa Ana, Calif., O'Deen Wier of Macomb, Ill., Barbara Gorski of St. Louis, Phyllis Vickery of Jackson; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
