ORAN, Mo. -- Ralph Samuel Evans, 92, of Oran died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.
He was born Feb. 26, 1913, in Maynard, Ark., son of John and Goldie Culver Evans. He and Geraldine Fowler were married Feb. 19, 1936. She died Jan. 11, 1969.
Evans had been a self-employed auctioneer and antiques dealer. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Morley, Mo.
Survivors include three sons, Don, Ben and Ed Evans of Oran; a daughter, Linda Taylor of Benton, Mo.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Morley, with Bill Bradley officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
