SIKESTON -- Ralph E. Francis, 65, of Sikeston, died Dec. Friday, 13, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born July 13, 1926, in Arcadia, La., son of Wallace Atkins Francis and Jessie Vina Ray Francis.

He had worked 20 years for Ray Clinton Construction Co. in Sikeston.

He was a member of Local 282 Construction Workers.

On Oct. 12, 1946, he married Murl Welborn at Charleston, She survives.

Other survivors include sons, Gregory B. Francis of Jefferson City, Roger A. Francis of Osage Beach, Larry D. Francis, Smyrna, Tenn., Charles A. Francis of Cape Girardeau, Dennis Randy Francis, Donald B. Francis and James B. Francis, all of Nashville, Tenn.; daughters, Barbara E. Burgess of Sikeston and Linda Poyner of Nashville; brothers, Elmon L. Francis of Evansville, Ind. and Wayne Francis, Elk Grove, Calif.; sisters, Melba Knight of Granite City, Ill. and Eleanor Brewer of Las Vegas and 16 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel with Mr. Harold Althen of Cape Girardeau officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
