MCCLURE, Ill. -- Ralph Woodrow Bowerman, 86, of McClure died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at his home.
He was born March 29, 1919, in Cape Girardeau, son of Alonzo L. "Lon" and Nancy E. Vandegraf Bowerman. He married Anola Mae Burris Gill.
Bowerman had been a meat cutter. He was a member of Red Star Baptist Church and VFW Post 3838.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Lindsay Bowerman of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Lynda Mueller of Jefferson City, Mo.; three stepsons, Hugh Gill of East Pekin, Ill., Harry Gill of St. Louis, Patrick Gill of Chillicothe, Ill.; four stepdaughters, Anola Stowick of Franklin Park, Ill., Martha Hamilton and Jeannie Hink of Cape Girardeau, Patricia Dokich of Chicago Heights, Ill.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; 10 great-stepgrandchildren; and a great-great-stepgrandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
