GRAND TOWER, Ill. -- Ralph L. Anderson, 80, of Grand Tower, died Friday, Aug. 2, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. GRAND TOWER, Ill. -- Ralph L. Anderson, 80, of Grand Tower, died Friday, Aug. 2, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 5, 1915, in Missouri, son of Hiram W. and Abagail Neace Anderson. He first married Mary Fay Dillow, who died June 30, 1970. He later married the former Margaret P. Hicks.

Anderson had been an electrical engineer with CIPS in Grand Tower. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Ballance of Wolf Lake, Bonnie Dodson of Florissant, Mo.; three sons, Darrell Ward of Dallas, Texas, Glenn Ward of Memphis, Tenn., Jackie Ward of Austin, Texas; a sister, Effie Bell of St. Louis; two brothers, George Anderson of Nashville, Tenn., Hary Anderson of Grand Tower; 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Crawshaw Funeral Chapel in Grand Tower from 6-8 p.m. today, and Sunday at First Baptist Church after 12:30 p.m.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Revs. Donald Grammer, Louis Bell and John Cripps officiating. Burial will be in Walker Hill Cemetery at Grand Tower.
