TAMMS, Ill. -- Rae Watts, 82, of Tamms died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Jonesboro Health Care Center in Jonesboro, Ill.
She was born April 24, 1923, in Watson, Ark., daughter of William L. and Lillen Sample Bickerstaff. She married Bill H. Watts, who preceded her in death.
Watts was formerly of Silver City, N.M. She had been a manager in the fabric department at Wal-Mart, and was a member of the Baptist Church in Silver City.
Survivors include a daughter, Billie Lockett of Tamms; a son, Thomas Watts of Utah; two sisters, Jean Gilliam of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Carolyn "Sadie" Summers of Brooks, Ga.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Silver City, with burial in Fort Bayard National Cemetery.
Jones Funeral Home in Tamms is in charge of local arrangements.
