MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Rachel Marie "Ricci" Bailey, 22, of Marble Hill was taken from this world Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015. Heaven received a beautiful angel.
She was born Jan. 28, 1992, in Cape Girardeau. Rachel graduated from Woodland High School in 2010.
She joined the U.S. Army in 2011.
Rachel was a member of Cape County Cowboy Church, where she was able to enjoy her love of horses. She enjoyed reading, spending time with children, and love of all animals. Her desire was to become a veterinarian.
Survivors include her parents, Richard and Roberta "Robby" Russell Bailey of Marble Hill; three sisters, Crystal Streiler of Independence, Missouri, Tammie (Mike) Scamell of Jackson and Sarah (Jason) Neely of Bismarck, Missouri; three nephews, Nathan Crowe, Raymond and James Neely; her birth parents, Sunny Russell-Neely of Cape Girardeau and Tim McClanahan of Lancaster, California; and a grandfather, Glen Ketron of Marble Hill.
Rachel was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles "Bill" and Dorcas "Dee" Russell, and Nancy Ketron.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield. Military honors will be conducted.
