Funeral mass for Quentin Charles Diebold, 1743 Huntington, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent's Catholic Church. The Rev. Don Berkbigler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery at Benton, with graveside rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3838.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Diebold, 72, died Monday, June 27, 1994, at Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born May 17, 1922, at Benton, son of Joseph C. and Coletta Essner Diebold. He and Sirphenia I. Meier were married June 29, 1949, at New Madrid.
Diebold was a loading inspector at Scott City with Texas Eastern Transmission Corp. from 1950-71. He was a member of St. Vincent's Church and VFW Post 3838.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ken Diebold of Vacaville, Calif., Keith Diebold of Stavanger, Norway; two daughters, Kathy Siebert of Jackson, Barbara Ahlheit of Burns, Tenn.; two brothers, James Diebold of Affton, Francis Diebold of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Berniece Diebold of Benton, Gladys Schumacher of Rolla, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
