PRUDENCE ROSS

Prudence Lee Ross, 89, of Puxico died Thursday, Oct. 24, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 29, 1906, at Burfordville, daughter of Fred and Rosa Ates Runnels. She and Dennis Ross were married June 5, 1929, in Cape Girardeau. He died March 8, 1957.

Formerly of Cape Girardeau, Ross did cleaning work in a dentist's office. She was a member of First General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Dealing "D.D." Runnels of Jackson and Loren Runnels of Wappapello, and a sister, Marie Proffer of Fort Worth, Texas.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel, 829 N. West End Boulevard, from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at the chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. David W. Griesemer officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
