JACKSON -- Funeral for Pollyanna Gailus of Jackson will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Grand Gillard will officiate.
There is no visitation.
Gailus, 83, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 24, 1915, at Pocahontas, daughter of Annis Cross and Myrtle Tant Hope. She and Charles G. Gailus were married Dec. 20, 1942. He died Nov. 24, 1986.
Gailus had been an executive secretary for the government.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and active in the women's groups. She was awarded life membership in Presbyterian Women in 1995, was recently a moderator of Esther Circle, served on the Mission Committee, participated in the Shepherding Program, and was secretary of Apple Creek Presbyterian Church Memorial Association.
Survivors include two brothers, Hays Hope of Webster Groves and Brainard Hope of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
