Phyllis J. Yonge, 90, of Cape Girardeau entered Heaven Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born Jan. 25, 1932, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Philip and Marjorie Tompkins Stoll. She married Donald Yonge on Sept. 2, 1954. They lived in Michigan until his retirement and then lived in Florida until his passing in 2005.

Phyllis then moved to Cape Girardeau to be near her sister and brother-in-law. After she moved here, she found a little apartment, purchased a car and began living a whole new life.

Her hobbies became making friends, thrift store shopping and always helping others. She loved going places with her companion and special friend, Stan Sullivan.

Phyllis never wanted for anything. The friends she had here were so many that names won't be given, but you all know who you were and what you did, and what she did for so many of you.
