Phyllis Scheper, 82, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Monticello House in Jackson. She was born Nov. 7, 1931, in Doniphan, Mo., daughter of Carl John and Dorothy Timmons Stiber. Phyllis Scheper, 82, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born Nov. 7, 1931, in Doniphan, Mo., daughter of Carl John and Dorothy Timmons Stiber.

Phyllis was one of the earliest employees at the former LeeRowan Co., now Rubbermaid, in Jackson. After she retired, she enjoyed traveling. She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.

Loving survivors include a son, Rob (Beth) Scheper Jr. of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Linda (Tom) Connell of Jupiter, Fla., and Lisa (Don) Watley of Splendora, Texas; a brother, Clifford Stiber of Savannah, Ga.; a sister, Betty Gowen of Eminence, Mo.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation or New Mc-Kendree UMC.
