Phyllis June Barron Moroni, 92, of Oran, Mo., was born June 19, 1914, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Felix Paul and Edith Anna Marie Johnson Barron and passed away Dec. 17, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. Phyllis had completed nurses training at St. Anthony's Hospital in Chicago. She had been a registered nurse as well as a homemaker. She was a member of the Home Extension Club...

Phyllis June Barron Moroni, 92, of Oran, Mo., was born June 19, 1914, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Felix Paul and Edith Anna Marie Johnson Barron and passed away Dec. 17, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Phyllis had completed nurses training at St. Anthony's Hospital in Chicago. She had been a registered nurse as well as a homemaker. She was a member of the Home Extension Club.

Phyllis and Nello Moroni were united in marriage on Dec. 31, 1937, in Willow Springs, Ill., and he preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1971.

Survivors include two sons, Tom Moroni of Oran and Jim Moroni of Puxico, Mo.; two brothers, Robert Barron of Chicago and Dr. Donald Barron of Guttenburg, Iowa; four grandsons, David Moroni of Paris, Tenn., Steven Moroni of Chaffee, Mo., Russell Moroni of Fisk, Mo., and Corey Moroni of Albuquerque, N.M.; one great-granddaughter, Sara Moroni of Spring Hill, Texas, and one great-stepgranddaughter, Keri Arnold of Paris, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Doris Barron Bonomi and Bernadette Barron Genatempo, and one brother, Felix Barron.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Morgan Funeral Home with Father David Dohogne officiating. Interment will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Advance.
