Phyllis Fay Farrow, 72, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born June 28, 1950, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Isaac Harry and Katie Elizabeth Mott Driskell. She was a 1968 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
Phyllis and Wesley W. "Junior" Farrow Jr. were married April 7, 1969, in Cape Girardeau. After marriage, Phyllis fully devoted her life to being a mother and homemaker. She and Junior had been married 52 years when he passed away Nov. 10, 2021.
Phyllis loved the Lord and her church, Salvation and Restoration Church in Cape Girardeau. She liked singing, reading and cooking, and was known for her homemade bread and sweet tea. She especially enjoyed Christmas and planning family gatherings.
Loving survivors include two children, Brandon Farrow of Millersville and Brittney (Brian) Graham of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Ashley (Derick) Schermerhorn of Jackson, Dylan Farrow of Millersville and Ethan Musgrave and Evan Graham of Cape Girardeau; three great-grandchildren Colby, Benett and Emelia Schermerhorn, all of Jackson; and a brother, Isaac Larry Driskell of Cape Girardeau.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Junior; parents; daughter, Sheila Farrow; and two siblings, Daniel Wayne Driskell and Frances Kay Farrow.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The Rev. Jeff Gipson will conduct the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
