She was born March 8, 1943, in Milan, Mo., daughter of Donald and Frankie Wages Mason. She and James G. "Jim" Conley were married May 8, 1965...

Phyllis Ann Mason Conley, 70, of Jackson, formerly of Indianola, Iowa, passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 8, 1943, in Milan, Mo., daughter of Donald and Frankie Wages Mason. She and James G. "Jim" Conley were married May 8, 1965.

Phyllis graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1961. She attended Simpson College while working for Meredith Publishing Co., graduating in 1992 with a bachelor of science in business. She also worked at CDS Printing in Des Moines. Phyllis was formerly a member of First Baptist Church in Indianola, and currently a member of Connection Point Church in Jackson.

Loving survivors include her husband, Jim Conley; a son, Mark (Kari) Conley of Fenton, Mo.; two grandchildren, Kaden and Gavin Conley; three sisters, Weineva Harper of Lebanon, Mo., Geneva (Larry) Armel of Des Moines and Donna (Jim) Vanderberg of Tempe, Ariz.; and a brother, Mike (Lori) Mason of Lacona, Iowa.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson and from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.

The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Overton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Elly officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Garden in Des Moines.

Memorials may be made to Connection Point Baptist Church in Jackson, or to First Baptist Church in Indianola.
