ANNA, Ill. -- Phillip E. Rothschild, 92, of Anna died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Ill.
He was born Oct. 2, 1914, at Wyatt, Mo., son of Phillip I. and Byha A. Duty Rothschild. He and Beulah S. Smith were married April 23, 1934, in Jonesboro, Ill.
Rothschild was a member of Laborers Local 773 48 years. He attended Jonesboro Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles Rothschild of Marion, Ill., David Rothschild of Anna; a daughter, Phyllis Tweedy of Wolf Lake, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, three sisters and a great-grandson.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Stamp officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery.
