PETE KIGER

DEXTER -- Pete Kiger, 84, of Dexter, died Wednesday, July 22, 1998, at his home.

He was born March 22, 1914, in Jonesboro, Ark., son of Will and Cardezia Grooms Kiger. He and Kathleen Reeves were married Oct. 7, 1940, at Wardell.

Kiger was retired from Malden Wholesale Co. He had lived at Dexter since 1956, and was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sylvia Plemmons of Rockford, Ill., Barbara Ramey of Dexter; a son, Robert Kiger of Dexter; a sister, Annie Jones of Poplar Bluff; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, a brother, a sister, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, and five infant brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jimmy Kirby and Dale Holman officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley.
