Pete V. Jarrell, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born June 5, 1923, in Whitesville, W.Va., son of Donnie and Bessie Jarrell.
Jarrell had worked at United Fuel Gas Co., and also had been a mechanic.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps almost three years, and received a Purple Heart.
Survivors include three sisters, Pauline Skinner of Prairie Village, Kan., Mildred Sayre and Loretta VanSickle of Charleston, W.Va.; and a brother, Curtis Jarrell of Clearwater, Fla.
Friends may call at Bartlett-Burdett-Cox Funeral Home in Charleston from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Proctor officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Garden of Memories in Pocatalico, W.Va., with military rites by VFW Post 816.
