LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Pervis L. Lukefahr Sr., 92, of Leopold died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 11, 1911, at Millheim, Mo., son of Thomas Jefferson and Hattie Blaylock Lukefahr. He first married Beulah Haupt, who died Oct. 2, 1969. He later married Nellie Sterns, who preceded him in death. He then married Revena Friese, who also preceded him in death.
Lukefahr was a farmer and also helped build Woodland School. He served on the school board, and was a member and elder of Lutesville Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include four sons, Lenzel, Leroy and Junior Lukefahr of Leopold, Jim Lukefahr of Newton, Iowa; a daughter, Viola Cazadd of Florissant, Mo.; two sisters, Ruby Bollinger of Springfield, Ill., Hazel Hahs of Sedgewickville, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo., from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Bass officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
