She was born July 29, 1921, at Neelys Landing, daughter of George W. and Maggie Robinson Ackman. She and Wilson B. "Moon" Godwin were married June 24, 1939, in Cape Girardeau...
SIKESTON -- Pribanou Clodine "Peggy" Godwin, 71, of Sikeston, died Monday, Nov. 16, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born July 29, 1921, at Neelys Landing, daughter of George W. and Maggie Robinson Ackman. She and Wilson B. "Moon" Godwin were married June 24, 1939, in Cape Girardeau.
Godwin was a member of Clayton Avenue Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Ronald Godwin of Morley; a daughter, Carol Mercer of Sikeston; a brother, Troy Ackman of Sedgewickville; a sister, Opal Tripp of Jackson; three grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Revs. Cecil Adams and Keith Wilson will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time at Cracraft-Miller.
