EUREKA, Mo. -- Peggy Jean Garcia, 75, of Eureka passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at her home.
She was born Oct. 18, 1944, in Cape Girardeau to the late Charles Floyd and Clola Mae Pulliam Fann. She married Alfredo Garcia in Hillsboro, Missouri.
She worked as a police officer and for the family business. She loved to flower garden.
She is survived by her husband, Alfredo Garcia of Eureka; son, Wilburn Leo Smith Jr. of Florence, Alabama; daughters, Barbara Smith and Connie Lynn Smith of Rogersville, Alabama; stepdaughter, Yesenia Jones of Oklahoma; sister, Evelyn Niswonger of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Paul Dean and Gary Dale Fann.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the funeral home.
