Peggy Jean Fassel passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020. She was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Cape Girardeau to Lyman LeRoy and Emma Harmon Hayden. Peggy graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1950. She and Leon Fassel were married in 1952 in Piggott, Arkansas. They shared their life together for 51 years until his passing in June 2003...

Peggy Jean Fassel passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

She was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Cape Girardeau to Lyman LeRoy and Emma Harmon Hayden.

Peggy graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1950. She and Leon Fassel were married in 1952 in Piggott, Arkansas. They shared their life together for 51 years until his passing in June 2003.

Surviving family are a niece, Susie Fox (Larry) Pifer; nephews, David (Sarah) Fox and Kent (Donna) Teichman; and many great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Harry Hayden; sisters, Ethel Teichman and Mildred Fox; as well as a nephew, Franz Teichman.

Per Aunt Pat's request, there will be no services. Entombment will take place at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
