Peggy A. Borgfield, 86, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, at her home.
She was born Oct. 3, 1934, in Oak Ridge to Clyde and Mildred Cobble Martin. She and Kenneth Borgfield were married June 7, 1953, in Oak Ridge.
Peggy was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School. She retired from K-mart.
She was a 67-year member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Fruitland; a member of Elks Auxiliary No. 2652 in Jackson; and for over 50 years, was a member of both the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary in Jackson.
Loving survivors include her husband of 67 years, Kenneth Borgfield of Jackson; a son, Steve (Carol) Borgfield of Jackson; two granddaughters Sara (Adam) Meyer and Ashley Borgfield, both of Jackson; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Borgfield, Adalynn Meyer and Zoey Schaffer, all of Jackson, and Grant Meyer of Oak Ridge; four sisters, JoElla Grieve, Bonnie (Larry) Wiseman, Paulette Stone and Carol Garrett; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Cindy Borgfield and Karen Vogelsang.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Dr. Rodney Pensel officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Fruitland.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. John's United Church of Christ Cemetery.
