Peggy Marie Blaylock, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, May 28, 2011, at her home.
She was born April 20, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, to Rueben and Lucy Reynolds Whittaker.
She and Robert Lee Mueller were married, and he died in 1965. She married Robert Dubrey, and he died in 1997. She then married William "Bill" Blaylock and he died April 27, 2011.
She was a very active member of Wesley United Methodist Church and served on many committees in Fruitland.
She was an active member of VFW Post 3838 Auxiliary and American Legion Post 63 Auxiliary. She served as the ombudsman with the Area Agency on aging at Heartland Care and Rehab.
Survivors include daughters Melinda "Lindy" (Dale) Roth of Altenburg, Mo., and Beth (Bruce) Reimann of Cape Girardeau; stepsons Robert Dubrey III of Milwaukee, Daniel Dubrey and Patrick Dubrey, both of Boulder, Colo., Mark (Pamela) Blaylock of Cape Girardeau, William (Jill) Blaylock of Eureka, Mo.; grandchildren Alex Roth and Anna Roth of Altenburg, Morgan Chaudoir of Cape Girardeau; three stepgranddaughters; eight stepgrandsons; numerous great-stepgrandchildren; and sisters Retha Popp and Antoinette (John) McLain of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter, Susanna Joy Mueller; sisters, Wilma Masters, Maxine Swanner and Doris Fornkohl; and brothers, Floyd Whittaker and Richard Whittaker.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Debbie Arvelo officiating. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Diabetes Association.
