SIKESTON -- Pearline S. Hampton, 62, of Sikeston, died Monday, June 8, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born April 19, 1930 in Parma, daughter of John and Adell Stinson Couch.

She worked in housekeeping for the Sikeston Convalescent Center, and was a member of Smith Avenue Church of God in Sikeston.

On Feb. 2, 1946 in Piggott, Ark., she married Eugene W. Hampton. He survives of the home.

Also surviving are four sons, Ronald, Rickie and Michael Hampton, all of Sikeston, and Charles Hampton of DePue, Ill.; three daughters, Sharon Bailey, Vickie Hampton and Joyce Northern, all of Sikeston; two brothers, Kenneth Couch of Grand Blanc, Mich., and Buster Couch of Vinton, La.; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter.

Friends may call after 5:30 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel with the Rev. Larry Arnold, pastor of the Smith Avenue Church of God, officiating. Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
