SIKESTON -- Pauline Dollar Russell, 77, of Peoria, Ill., formerly of St. Louis and Sikeston, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 1996, at Methodist Hospital in Peoria.
She was born Sept. 27, 1918, at Tuckerman, Ark., daughter of Samuel and Mary Alsup Dollar.
While living in St. Louis, she worked at Barnes Hospital as a food preparer and server. She moved to Peoria in 1968. She retired from the Canteen Corp. in 1984, where she worked in food preparation and serving at Williams Hall on the campus of Bradley University in Peoria.
She was also a member of the Laramie Street Baptist Church in Peoria.
She is survived by a son, Michael R. Russell of Peoria; four brothers, Kermit Dollar of Plantation, Fla., Robert Dollar of Farmington, Ill., Tom Dollar of Sikeston and Darryl Dollar of Otis Orchards, Wash.; three sisters, Lucille Rosier of Beech Island, S.C., Dorothy McDonald of Glendale, Ariz., and Janice Jones of Cape Girardeau; two grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
Five brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
