ANNA, Ill. -- Pauline Rich, 98, of Anna died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at Union County Hospital. She was born Dec. 5, 1907, in Pierce City, Mo., daughter of Thomas and Mamie Quinn Conley. She and Robert L. Rich were married May 29, 1941, in Cobden, Ill. He died Feb. 28, 1980...

ANNA, Ill. -- Pauline Rich, 98, of Anna died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at Union County Hospital.

She was born Dec. 5, 1907, in Pierce City, Mo., daughter of Thomas and Mamie Quinn Conley. She and Robert L. Rich were married May 29, 1941, in Cobden, Ill. He died Feb. 28, 1980.

Rich was a business teacher at Anna-Jonesboro Community High School many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna.

Survivors include two sons, Robert "Bob" Rich III of McLean, Va., Charles Rich of Murphy, Texas; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and stepfather.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6 to 8 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 6:30.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church, with Monsignor Dennis Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery.
