Pauline M. Nieman, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, June 6, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Sept. 4, 1920, in Reynoldsville, Ill., daughter of Henry R. and Ethel Melton Haman. She and Kenneth E. Nieman were married June 7, 1943. He died April 28, 1978.
Nieman had been a child care provider for several families. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, former member of VFW Auxiliary, and had done volunteer work at St. Francis Medical Center many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Ellen Yunger of Westlake Village, Calif.; a brother, Robert Haman of Sarasota, Fla.; and a sister, Opal Young of Kansas City.
There is no visitation or service here.
A memorial service will be held later in Pearce, Ariz.
McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of local arrangements.
