PUXICO -- Pauline Johnston, 82, of Puxico died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 1997, at Beverly Health Rehabilitation Center in Dexter.
She was born Aug. 16, 1915, at Wappapello, daughter of I.B. and Maggie Knodell Faries. She and Claude D. Johnston were married Jan. 6, 1934. He died Nov. 20, 1995.
Johnston lived in the Puxico and Wappapello areas all her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Puxico, and had taught Sunday School 40 years.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Johnston of Dexter, Donald Johnston of Sparks, Nev.; three brothers, John Faries of Farmington, Alvin Faries of Puxico, Virtle Faries of Colorado City, Texas; a sister, Wanda Hardy of Jackson; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Marshall Link officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.
