Gobble, 82, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at Bond Nursing Center.

She was born April 24, 1915, at Hiram, daughter of George Tony and Maude Hood Meador. She and Curtis Gobble were married Dec. 27, 1934, in Bollinger County.
Gobble was a member of Berrong General Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry Gobble of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, Claud Meador of Gipsy; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
