ADVANCE, Mo. -- Edna Pauline Arledge, 88, of Advance died Friday, June 15, 2007, at Advance Nursing Center. She was born May 5, 1919, at Greenville, Mo., daughter of William and Nora Atnip Luke. She and Obed Arledge were married Sept. 24, 1936. He died Jan. 29, 1988...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Edna Pauline Arledge, 88, of Advance died Friday, June 15, 2007, at Advance Nursing Center.

She was born May 5, 1919, at Greenville, Mo., daughter of William and Nora Atnip Luke. She and Obed Arledge were married Sept. 24, 1936. He died Jan. 29, 1988.

Arledge was formerly of Piedmont, Mo., where she attended Victory Baptist Temple.

Survivors include five sons, Carl Eugene Arledge of St. Louis, Laverne and Michael Arledge of Piedmont, Gary Arledge of Jackson, Duane Arledge of Arvada, Colo.; a daughter, Irma Lee Page of Advance; three brothers, Raymond Luke of Paragould, Ark., Herbert Luke of Campbell, Mo., Herman Luke of Malden, Mo.; a sister, Lucille Adams of Paragould; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Victory Baptist Temple, with the Revs. Gavin Page and Elmo Parker officiating. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery.
