Funeral for Paula E. Weiss of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Jeffrey Sippy will officiate, with burial in Hanover Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until service time.

Weiss, 85, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Aug. 28, 1913, in Templin, Kan., daughter of William and Ella Zwieg Wittrock. She married Louis Weiss Feb. 22, 1935. He died March 29, 1973.

Weiss was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church, was organist 40 years, member of the Ladies Aid, and active in other areas of the church.

Survivors include a son, Paul Weiss of Cape Girardeau; a brother, the Rev. Theodore Wittrock of Katonah, N.Y.; three granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
