Paula Kassel

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Paula A. Kassel, 97, of Perryville died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 14, 1910, at Uniontown, Mo., daughter of Benjamin and Bertha Kramer Oberndorfer. She and Oscar C. Kassel were married June 4, 1933. He died Feb. 2, 1993.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville and its Concordia Ladies Aid, Berean Bible Class and Lutheran Laymen's League.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Wills of Perryville, Joyce Essman of Bryan, Ohio; a sister, Norma Hacker of Perryville; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Cemetery.
