CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Paula K. Carter, 50, of Charleston died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born July 26, 1949, in Sikeston, daughter of James and Lillie Northern Wren. She and William Carter were married Jan. 16, 1968.
Carter lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was employed in food service at Charleston R-1 Schools.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Amye Carter of the home; three brothers, James Wren, address unknown, Paul Wren of Des Moines, Iowa, Kenneth Wren of state of Washington; four sisters, Diane Wren of St. Louis, Imogene Peal of state of Tennessee, Doris Mason of Lilbourn, Phyllis Burgess of Matthews; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, and a brother.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lawrence Heckert officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
