DEXTER, Mo. -- Paul David Watkins, 43, of Dexter died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, in Cape Girardeau County as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born Dec. 5, 1957, the son of Goldie Watkins DePriest and George Watkins. He married Karen McClard on Sept. 12, 1998, at Dexter. She survives.
He was a construction worker.
He also is survived by his mother; his stepfather, Bill DePriest of Dexter; two brothers, George Watkins Jr. of Bloomfield, Mo., and Larry Roe Watkins of Dexter; two stepbrothers, Ronnie DePriest of Derby, Kan., and Darrel DePriest of Fulton, Mo.; and a stepsister, Vivien Burnsed of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel with the Rev. Jerrold Lake officiating.
Burial will be at the Bloomfield Cemetery.
