Paul Walker

Paul Ronald "Ronnie" Walker, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at Southeast Hospital.

Born April 17, 1943, in Medford, Oregon, to Paul Edward and Mary Margaret Morton Walker, Paul was a graduate of College High and attended Southeast Missouri State University.

A sales representative with the Southeast Missourian for more than 25 years, he also served as advertising manager. In the 1970s and 1980s he was the owner of Caxton Advertising Agency and River City Revue newspaper, which published in Cape Girardeau. During his career, he worked at the former Bulletin-Journal newspaper and Fox TV station, was a consultant with the United Way and started T.B.Y. Magazine.

An avid photographer, Paul was also a prolific painter, writer and musician. Along with these talents, his wit and irreverent humor were the driving force for his many enterprises.

He is survived by two sons, Doug Walker, and his wife Shea Vowell of Memphis, Tennessee, and Miles and Amanda Walker of Cape Girardeau; daughter-in-law, Monica Lanpher Walker of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Shari Diane Masterson of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren, Ethan and Wil Walker, Abigail Walker and Tabatha, Chloe, and Vinson Walker; and niece and nephew, Mindi and Todd Masterson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Bryan Walker.

There will be a memorial starting at 6:30 p.m. March 8 at Port Cape.
