LEOPOLD -- Paul W. Engelen, 75, of Leopold died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1993, at Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.
He was born March 9, 1918, at Leopold, the son of Frank and Rosa Arnzen Engelen. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Bueter, who preceded him in death July 5, 1972.
He was a retired farmer and a member of St. John's Catholic Church at Leopold and the St. John's Men's Sodality.
Survivors include three sons, Sylvester, Leonard and Robert Joseph Engelen, all of Leopold, two daughters, Mary Ellen Wilhelm of Columbia, and Glenda Wotipka of Owensville, and 20 grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, where parish prayers will be said at 7:30. Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 8 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church. Father Michael Casteel will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
