Paul L. Quade, 96, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Nov. 21, 2022, at his home.

He was born July 10, 1926, in Cape Girardeau to the late Herbert and Frieda Quade. Paul and Erma Dee Quade were married Sept. 1, 1951.

While Paul only had eight years of formal schooling, he had a master's degree of life. He was a hard-working farmer for most of his life, and he also loved to bowl. He is a member of the Cape Girardeau District Senior Bowling Hall of Fame. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the United Church of God.

Survivors include a son, Keith (Tamara Janssen) Quade of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Samantha Kuehn, Elizabeth Cochran and Jessica Janssen; and six great-grandchildren, Paytin Rae Clark, Lucille Elizabeth Clark, Jaydin Lynn Clark, Kaydence Cochran, Railey Cochran and Augustus Monroe Janssen.

Paul was preceded in the death by his parents; wife, Erma; six sisters; and four brothers.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Dec. 2, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at noon Friday, Dec. 2, at the funeral home, with Minister Douglas Collison officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau immediately following the service.

Memorial contributions may be given to SEMO Pets or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
