A memorial service for Paul Dee Pelton of Cape Girardeau will be held at 7 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Loyd Latham will officiate.

Friends may call at the chapel after 6 p.m.

Pelton, 80, died Tuesday, March 25, 1997, at his home.

He was born March 20, 1917, in St. Joseph.

Pelton was a certified public accountant and a licensed pilot for the Borchard Ranch in Brawley, Calif. He moved from Holtville, Calif., to Southeast Missouri in 1977. He was a night auditor at Drury Inn in Sikeston nine years, retiring in 1992.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include three sons, Bill and Harve Pelton of Holtville, Gary Pelton of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Glenda Robison of Sikeston; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson.
