JONESBORO, Ill. -- Mr. Paul Morgan, 92, of Jonesboro died at 7:35 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016, in the Union County Hospital Long Term Care in Anna, Illinois.
He was born Oct. 7, 1923, in Jonesboro, the son of Charles P. and Lela Frick Morgan. He married Luella M. Kelley on Jan. 29, 1946, in Jonesboro. She preceded him in death March 15, 2015.
Paul is survived by his three sons, Randy (Mary) Morgan of McClure, Illinois, Mike (Karen) Morgan and Van (Beth) Morgan, all of Jonesboro; a daughter, Paula Morgan of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren, Shelley Hileman, Jenifer Eddleman, Danielle Parr, Miranda Wright, Andrew Parr, Katy Newman, Nikki Hudson and Tonya Kendal; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Proveaux of Cape Girardeau; and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Luella Morgan; grandson Duane Morgan; brother Winstead Morgan; and two sisters, Edna McCloud an Delphia Morgan.
Paul was a member of Lockard Chapel Baptist Church for many years.
Paul was a lifelong farmer and started and operated Run-N-Lake Hunting Club south of Ware, Illinois, for over 40 years.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Morgan officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carmi Baptist Children's Home. Envelopes will be available at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
