Paul Lynch, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Aug. 10, 1914, at Chaffee, Mo., son of Steven Vinsins and Minnie Lee Rainey Lynch. He and Claudia Miller were married May 17, 1936, in Cape Girardeau. She died Sept. 9, 1998.
Lynch lived in Chaffee 52 years, and in Cape Girardeau the past 34 years. He owned and managed Dinner Bell Restaurant at Chaffee many years. He was in the grocery business several years. Lynch worked on the first atomic bomb in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
He was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge in Chaffee, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Paul Lynch of Jackson, Mo., Gary Lynch of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Ella Mae Crader of Cheyenne, Wyo.; four grandchildren, Ed Lynch and Cindy Williams of Knoxville, Tenn., Julie Lynch of St. Louis, Stephanie Lynch of Curitabana, Brazil; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lynwood Baptist Church, with Gary Belcher officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
