FRIEDHEIM, Mo. -- Paul D. Lappe, 31, of Friedheim died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 13, 1979, in Cape Girardeau, son of Dennis G. and Marsha Bollinger Lappe of Friedheim. He and Amanda N. Elam were married July 20, 2002.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Madison I. Lappe; a son, Benjamin P. Lappe both of the home; mother and father-in-law, David E. and Barbara Zeigler Elam of Chester, Ill.; maternal grandfather, Joe (Irene) Bollinger of Fredericktown, Mo.; maternal grandmother, Betty McLain of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Jackie (Gabriel) Putz of Oak Ridge; a sister-in-law, Melinda Elam of Chester; two brothers-in-law, Mike Crain of Chester, Les (Effaney) Crain of Benton, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Elmer and Regina Lappe.
Mr. Lappe was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Mo., River Hills Antique Tractor Club and Cape County Coon Hunters.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. until time of service Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ron Coleman and the Rev. Tony Dattilo officiating. Burial will be in St. Maurus Cemetery at Biehle.
Memorials are preferred to family use.
