GRASSY -- Paul L. Eaker, 88, of Grassy, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1993, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
He was born Sept. 5, 1905, at Zalma, son of Caleb and Pernecie Myers Eaker. He and Pearl Acup were married July 6, 1933. She died July 28, 1986.
Eaker was a retired construction worker, and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Friendship General Baptist Church, Zalma Masonic 545, and Labor Local 282.
Survivors include two sons, Dean Eaker of Grassy, C.L. Eaker of Fenton; two daughters, Wanda Kelley of Cape Girardeau, Mary Lee Miller of Hillsboro; a brother, Chester Eaker of Edwardsville, Ill.; a sister, Thelma Davis of Hodgkins, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. The Rev. Gene Robbins will officiate, with burial in Grassy Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
