Paul Hulshof

CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Paul Everett Hulshof, 68, of rural Charleston died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at his home.

He was born Dec. 31, 1933, at Cape Girardeau, son of Henry B. and Emma Priggel Hulshof. He and Geri Moody were married July 7, 1956.

He had lived in New Madrid and Mississippi counties most of his life and was a well-known farmer and landowner. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, past member and grand regent of the Knights of Columbus. He had attended Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo., and served in the National Guard for more than 20 years.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Kenny Hulshof of Columbia, Mo.; three brothers, Francis Hulshof of Portageville, Mo., Joe Hulshof of Perkins, Mo., and Vincent Hulshof of Benton, Mo.; two sisters, Rosemary Brown of Memphis, Tenn., and Jane Marie Duenne of Charleston; and one grandfather, Casey Hulshof of Columbia.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston, with the Revs. Gerald Brown and David Hulshof officiating. Kenny Hulshof will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Caruthersville, Mo.
