Paul Bernard Huhn, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born January 21, 1931, in Lemay, Mo., to George P. and Matilda Sipp Huhn. He and Norma Jean Bollinger were married Oct. 1, 1954, in Tucson, Ariz. She preceded him in death June 11, 2013.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He retired as a TSgt. from the U.S. Air Force serving from Dec. 20, 1951, to Jan. 1, 1972. He served during the Korean War and in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include three sons, Martin (Elaine) Huhn and Michael Huhn of Cape Girardeau and Daniel (Nancy) Huhn of Saint Louis; a grandson, Daniel Huhn II; seven step-grandchildren, Staci (Matt) Quinn, Gregory (Stacy) Winschel, Gwendolyn Winschel, Kim (Jake) Banion, Neil (Amanda) Winschel, Stephanie (David) Hinkebein and Brad (Kala) Winschel; and five step-great-grandchildren, Kyle, Katie, Noah, Bennett and Axel Winschel
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home with parish prayers at 7 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, and the funeral home, with the Rev. David Hulshof officiating.
Burial will be at noon at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with military honors conducted by the Missouri Honor Guard and VFW Post 3838.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
