Paul Lee Heye, 77, of Crestwood, Ky., a former professor at Southeast Missouri State University, died Monday, March 13, 2000, at his home.
He was a native of Missouri. Heye was a biology professor at Southeast University from 1955 until retiring in 1984. He had also worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Heye was a naval aviator in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of St. Aloysius Parish in Pewee Valley, Ky., and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; two daughters, Barbara Elve of Ontario, Canada, Mary Heye of St. Louis; a son, Dr. Philip Heye of LaGrange, Ky.; two sisters, Jean Heye of W. Palm Beach, Fla., Betty Beger of St. Charles; and a grandson.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius Church. Burial will be later in Oak Grove Cemetery at St. Charles.
Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.
Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood is in charge of arrangements.
