PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Paul J. Endres, 85, of Perryville passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 15, 1926, in Perry County, to James and Anna F. Zahner Endres.
Mr. Endres served in the Army during the Korean conflict.
He was a clerk at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and moved to Perryville after his retirement in 1982. He was a member of American Legion Post 133 and AmVets Post 94.
Survivors include a sister, Rose Mary Buchheit; a sister-in-law, Lucille Endres; four nieces, Sharon Dippold, Rose Anna Weber, Shirley Webb of Perryville, Patricia Endres Lowder of Grayson, Ga.; four nephews, Daniel Endres, Roger Sutterer and Lloyd Sutterer of St. Louis, and Larry Endres of Perryville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and a sister-in-law, James and Laverne Endres, Harold Endres; and a sister and brother-in-law, Viola and Hubert Sutterer.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Military graveside service will be provided by American Legion Post 133 and the Missouri Delta Team.
Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association or the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
